Redfern & Company was started in January of 2007 by Paul Redfern, CPA.
Paul Redfern is a Certified Public Accountant specializing in management accounting, business accounting and auditing.
Prior to becoming a public accountant, Paul was the Chief Financial Officer of a successful, web hosting company, Precision Web Hosting, Inc. (www.precisionweb.net). As a CPA, he has obtained significant experience performing audits and consulting services.
Paul Redfern is also an award-winning speaker. He has spoken to diverse groups on a range of topics, such as the fundamentals of starting a business, establishing a SMART business plan, business taxes as well as a number of humorous speeches. He has won accolades for his ability to make technical business topics entertaining and engaging.
Paul is a regular speaker at Small Business Development Center of North San Diego County (www.sandiegosmallbiz.com), and has been a speaker at number of comedy fund raisers.
He is married to Betsy and they have two children, four-year-old Jack, and one-year-old Hart. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas and an Award in Accounting from UCLA. He currently serves as treasurer at Harvest Orthodox Presbyterian Church (www.hopc.org), board member of The Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA in Encinitas (ecke.ymca.org) and a board member of the Community Resource Center in Encinitas (www.communityresourcecenter.org).
Adam T. Brown, CPA
Adam Brown is a Principal at Redfern & Company and focuses on assurance and attestation services. Adam began his professional career with a growing regional CPA firm in 2002 and has worked extensively with small to medium sized businesses and non-profit organizations. He enjoys working with clients and places an emphasis on the creation of sound internal control systems, preparation of financial statements, income tax planning and preparation, and business consultation.
Adam graduated from California State University – San Marcos and grew up in San Diego North County. He and his wife, Jessica, live in Pacific Beach and expecting the birth of their first child later this year.
